MUST READ

Cosmetic tattoo is considered semi-permanent as treatments will generally last several years, with colour refreshes recommended every 1-3 years to keep your results looking their best.

Longevity varies for individuals based on a variety of factors including your skin type, sun exposure, lifestyle, skin care and hormones. Your preparation and aftercare also have a drastic impact on the longevity of your treatment.

We do not tattoo over other artists work or old tattoos without prior approval. Please send us a clear photo of your full face and treatment area with no makeup or tint to be assessed.

• No direct sun exposure 2 weeks prior to treatment.

• You may have your skin waxed/tidied prior to your appointment if you choose to but it is not required. If you choose to please ensure this is not within 1 week of your appointment.

• Gently exfoliate the treatment area for up to days prior. Ensure the skin is well nourished.

IMPORTANT FOR LIP BLUSH:

Please be aware that if you have the herpes simplex virus, the treatment may trigger an outbreak. If you have this virus it is absolutely essential to take an anti-viral medication such as Zovirax 5 days before, on the day of, and 5 days after your treatment or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not consume alcohol or take Nurofen or any other blood thinning medication 24 hours prior to treatment. This will cause bleeding and impact your results.

It is recommended to wash your hair the morning of your appointment as it will be more difficult to do so for the duration of your aftercare following your procedure.

IMPORTANT FOR EYELINER:

For eyeliner treatments ensure you arrive to your appointment with absolutely no makeup on the eye area. For eyeliner treatments contact lenses cannot be worn during the treatment or for the following 2 hours so please consider bringing glasses for the drive home.

Numbing

Ombre and Combination Brows, Lip Blush: No pre numbing required - we will apply topical anaesthetic during the treatment.

Microblading/Eyebrow Feathering: Apply EMLA numbing cream & cover brows with small square of cling film 45 minutes prior to your appointment. This can be purchased from a pharmacy. Apply a THICK layer & come into the salon with the cling film on.

Your appointment includes:

The choice of colours depends on your skin tone, the colour of your hair and eyes and your desired results. Our artists will select suitable colours and custom mix to create the best match for you.

The treatment area will be mapped to your facial features and designed by our cosmetic tattoo specialists to work to enhance your natural features. The design is fully approved by you before we commence the treatment.

Our treatments are generally extremely comfortable and many clients are very relaxed or even fall asleep during their treatments.

Anaesthetics are used to numb the treatment area during the procedure to ensure maximum comfort.

Some clients may experience slight discomfort, but it is uncommon.

Healing Process

Immediately after treatment and the following week, the colour will appear darker than your desired results.

After 5-10 days exfoliation takes place and the tattoo will shed. This will likely occur sooner for lips and eyeliner. Do not pick the shedding skin. Itching may occur while skin is healing.

Immediately after shedding colour will appear lighter than expected but the colour will return to a soft healed result over the following weeks.

The result is a natural looking enhancement.

Depending on your skin type and how well you have followed your aftercare, slight patchiness may be normal and can be perfected at your follow up appointment.

After your 10 days of aftercare, you are welcome to wear makeup if required until your touch up appointment.

Aftercare

The initial healing process is 5 days for lip blush and eyeliner treatments, and 10 days for eyebrow treatments.

You will need to frequently clean and remove lymph fluid from the area for the first 2 days post treatment.

Eyebrow will need to be kept completely dry during this time.

You will not be able to touch the tattooed area for the during of the initial healing process as it is an open wound.

No sweating, exercise or sun exposure during the initial healing process. Do not put anything on the tattooed area except for the cream provided until after the initial healing process.

Follow Up

Some clients require a follow up appointment 4-8 weeks after at an additional cost of $100. This is to review your results and make any adjustments if required.
